"Africa" fall - winter 09/10
New collection of Elena Burenina is dedicated to Africa.
‘It’s not just Africa’, she says, ‘it’s a winter Africa.’
Being always original Burenina shows what usually drops from our mind when we remember the Black Continent. Images created by Elena strike our imagination and make us glance at Africa from another point. They reveal sincerety and bareness of African culture.
‘Africa’, the fashion designer claims, ‘contains low vibrations; its soul is sincere and filled with specific mystery. Africa hasn’t yet been discovered by humans since we are accustomed to focus on settled stereotypes.’
There is neither diversity of colors nor exotics in her models, instead we see purity of colors and form contrast, gracefulness and line flow. The focus is made on natural bend of neck, shoulders, breast, and waist, harmony of women’s body. Only natural organic fabrics were used for the collection: wool, cashmere, silk, leather, fur.
The main trends of this collection are minimalism, form and colour contrast, joyful vital associations.
The collection has been created with the support of Grohe AG company, the biggest European and world leading sanitary engineering equipment producer. Occupying nearly 10% of the world market share Grohe AG has established standards of quality, design and functioning.
Cooperation of the fashion designer and Grohe AG company has been developed due to common approaches in producing goods:
- unique design
- high quality of production
- product which breaks up the idea of humdrum reality.
These principles run by Elena Burenina and implemented into life by her team allow us to appreciate the results of their work. Therefore every new collection turns to be an amazing cultural event and we get a chance to join to it.
